That's a wee bit optimistic in the speed department surely?

Quite optimistic. Even the modern US carriers don't make those speeds.

When you order a new boat, then one might come with some optimistic numbers. and maybe after a few weeks, the engineer returns and say that and that does not work but that there will work. I guess it's maybe why we build such good sea vessels in Norway. HA HA HA

I only wonder besides the obvious spurious fact about naming subs after army officers: why is the RNoN naming the class in English??? Would it not be'Feltmarskalk'? I just think these AUs are losing in value with such obvious errors, detracting and diminishing their 'realism'! Besides, considering how the RNoN chose to name its new Aegis-frigates, I seriously doubt, in today's more pacifistic era that such militaristic names would even find favor with the majority of the population - unless they are clearly established, such as the Danish Niels Juel or Peder Skarm, or Swedish, say Wachtmeister, Klas Horn etc! Just my five cents in the pot...

Oh, I didn't meant it like that...but you're more than welcome, min kaere norske gutt! I guess, due to the fact that I'm from Sweden, I paid attention to that...But seriously though, there should be far more appropriate, popular names, such as Tordenskiold, Sehested (named after the Danish-Norwegian Statholder of Norway, Hannibal Sehested, son-in-law of King Christian IV, who skillfully defended Norway during the Swedish Wars of the 1640s and 50s). Possibly you can come up with more recent names of, say Norwegian naval officers killed during WW2 and commended for their bravery etc... I think such a move would better sell such expensive 'toys' than rather reactionary, and, probably in many eyes, abrasive name suggestion, such as the one you had originally. It's all only a friendly, but methinks, quite reasonable suggestions...

Actually, since I realize this AU is a conglomeration of the Scandinavian countries somehow, and the aforementioned field marshal (never a very distinguished one though) was a Swede, with no affiliation to Norway, you could use classic Scandinavian sub names! I need to send you, btw, my own proposals for a Swedish destroyer and frigate force of the near future...

In a little, maybe, too, enthusiastic spirit my friend Heuhen went ahead and posted my suggestions for a Swedish Blue-water Navy for the 21st c. Now, I don't oppose that. In fact it's nice to have your work appreciated, and since being forced to re-create these ships, many of whom were lost when I had a big computer crash, a year ago, I've been contemplating posting them, but never did - until now, that is! Anyway, viewers, please disregard, if it bothers your eyes, the two versions of the 'Tre Kronor'-class posted previously. Below are the more shipbucket-appropriate ones:

The HMS Tre Kronor and her sister, HMS Göta Lejon, were funded by a Riksdagsbeslut (decision; vote) on May 28, 2012, just shortly before the Parliamentary recess. It had been pushed through thanks to the increasingly deteriorating political and military situation in the Middle-East as well, as unrest in Asia, with the increase of rampant piracy in the Indian Ocean, rapidly spreading across the South Atlantic sea lanes as well. The funding was provided by a combination of the Nordic Military Assist Program, funded by Sweden, Denmark and Norway with Iceland as an observer. Much of the money for the destroyer-program, in fact, emerged from the vast Norwegian emergency-oil funds. A portion of it, though came through the West European Union Council, the successor of the WEU. Thus money was found for an extensive and expensive shipbuilding program.

Anyway, here are the two ships more properly presented:
