I might ditch all that American stuff then. I'm just trying to figure out a way to make it as English or American as possible, without actually making it American/British.

I'd actually really like some criticism on my destroyer before I move on

If you are talking about this DD "Shannon Class - 1941", there is no picture - just a black box saying unavailable.

It's really weird that you can't see it. Is it working now?

Your stern looks a bit off. Do your DC's actually roll down that stern deck angle?

Are you sure your torpedoes will clear the AA guns on the deck below? Do you have a real life example of that so you know it will work?

The shaft looks very long for a DD also the propeller looks too large for a DD. If you cut'n'pasted those from an Atlanta they will be too big.

Not sure I have seen a destroyer with the torpedoes facing different ways. That would give different angles of fire.

1. I remember a Russian destroyer had a stern like mine

2. I see your point, I'll move the AA gun

3. It uses the same shaft as the Fletcher destroyer, which is why Colo is credited

4. I'll change that

Why am I credited? I can't see anything of mine on there.

The depth charge tracks need to be immediately astern for a clean drop into the water behind the ship. The SR air search mattress wasn't around until 1944 so use something like SA or SC (or preferably no radar as 1941 is early for it). The 40mm Bofors and its Mk.51 director is also a mid-war thing. If anything this ship will have one 1.1" quad on the aft tower with a Mk.44 director and that's it. The amidships Bofors would not be added until mid-war.

Same goes for fire control radar on the gun director.

It looks too much like a Fletcher. But that's your own call to make.

The propeller shafts and the rudder was yours, so I credited you for it.

Ah I think it's fine. There are updated Fletcher drawings if you want to use the hull and screws from those, but I'd recommend you draw your own for practice. ;)
