I have to admit I am a bit surprised. I have drawn an cruiser of about the same size based on the Dutch Eendracht, viewtopic.php?p=145196#p145196 , which goes slightly faster (32 knots vs 29) but has an lighter arnament.
with that in mind, how on earth do you get so much out of such an small machinery layout, 10 years earlier. looking at the amount of power you have, it might well be correct for the machinery to be quite a lot smaller then on my ship, but I have no idea how you got that much speed out of her.......

In addition, note that the tail of your aircraft is about where your machinery can end, looking at the propeller shafts, which for my ship meant that I could only build it with the boilers aft of the turbines. Even with that in mind, my bow is a lot shorter then yours because the belowdecks steering position and by extension the conning tower on top of that, has to be forward of the machinery.

so, while I do not doubt that springsharp is at the very least close to the truth about all this equipment fitting on the hull, I suspect it would all be a bit more spread out, instead of this extremely long stern and bow.

The extra 3 kts takes loads of power, the hull strength drops to 0.8 and the seakeaping to 1,02.

With 105mm guns you get out more armour and a knot extra

The OH Nordenskiöld class was build as result of the analysis of the cruiser engagements in the battle of Jutland. The class was consiered "light armoured cruiser" and had a dreadnought inspired layout with an all centerline 6" battery in turrets with hoists.

The class was named after the flagcaptain of the Swedish navy in 1788-90 war with Russia.

Beautiful design and render. Considering the RL retardation of the KMS Emden after Versailles I think this one could instigate an arms race in and of itself.
You should check the ship name in the drawing credits though.

The OH Nordenskiöld class was extensivly rebuilt to keep up in the front line throughout World war 2. Here are two exmples of how the looked just before the war, and by the end of world war two.

The aircraft carrying cruiser "Hugin" was built to fill the gap of air reconnisance for the battle fleet. Laid down in 1938 the just entered service with pacific fleet at the start of hostilites 1941/42. Veterans of several battles int the Pacific they where severly worn out after the war and was mothballed in 1947. In 1958 the need for ASW task group flagships reactivated them with a helicopter deck and new modern sensors.

They made good service until replace by the Kung Carl in the mid 1970s.
