The previous one Colo did looks better IMO, there's just something off on yours that I can't seem to put my finger on... :/

Erm, I spent quite a lot of time getting that turret to look just right... that included going between several different drawings to make sure it was properly done, and using close up pictures I took aboard the USS North Carolina in Wilmington, NC to get the dimensions and everything else right...
Trust me, I spend a lot of time looking at USN warships... your version does not have the "look" that the real life one does.
Never mind, I thought you were talking about the dual 5"/38 mount that I slaved over after innumerable complaints.
The single mount has some faults but I think those could be fixed with a selective redraw of my version, not with a completely new version. The barrel needs fixing if anything, and the turret details, but I think the turret itself is the proper shape and size.

I know this migth be "ego" issue, thats Why I'm not outrigth stamping this to be accepted but more like sended it for approval to our USN community...It is my proposal for the newing that turret. I try to present it as most humble ways, and I would like as much opinions as possible. (the turret itself is a classic of its own and one of the most important naval weapons, so it deserves the best treatment, this we all can agree, no?)
When I made it. I also did look lot of USN destroyers pics from the era while working on with the Yugoslavian Split, and despite How I looked, I couldn't help noticing that the old version was indeed came "old". I think the main differences (and the reasons why I decided to rework it) is from the turret's edges, and the presentation of their angle and that curve
