THanks GD, very appreciated! RE: the bow shading. I can see your critique. Now, this period-era warships most often did have a rather blunter bow configuration than later cruisers, with fuller lines, a slight tumblehome going from the waterline area upwards, effectively creating the impression of a slight bulbuous bow form. This was an attempt (as I've understood it) to create a more favorable hydrodynamic underwater form to enable the VTE machinery to better perform without undue stress to it. I readily admit that my solution may not be the optimal, so I'm open for suggestions as to improve it.

Worked on the underwater hull shading using images of existing models of the class as templates, meaning, the shading is as close as they reproduce it, since there are precious few u/w hull photos of the class showing the shading linear from the side.

I have always loved these ships and bezo is artistic master (humming "The Armored Cruise Squadron")

Just chiming in to express my admiration for the resulting drawing, though this is little surprise from one of the consistently best artists around here, and now I'll see myself out before it becomes too obvious that I don't know squat about early XXth century armored cruisers

Extremely well done. Hull shading aside, it is a unique thread of work of art. The hull shading may not be perfect, or may not fully correspond to these old majestic Big Ten, but that does not, in any way, detract from the art work here.
