Some of these designs simply won't work; such as loading hulls with extra weapon systems like Standard SAM, which would make the ship unstable, unworkable and unmanable. Likewise with the latest, where you have helicopters landing on the bow. As a simple rule of thumb, if a naval architect hasn't attempted something similar it is for a good reason.

Nikiforos Class based on Never Built Designs/Netherlands/NL FFG (HS) Hoofd Eskader Frigate 1978.
Except for the bow helicopter, any other mistakes in these LHD/LPDs ? Comment on them with red, I will then edit the post to correct it.

Seriously? Freshwater generators have been available for what? 40 years at least.

These small water tankers (60-70m long) built in mid 1950's to late 1970's through a State Social Program for providing freshwater islanders of the Kingdom, living in small islands without any other freshwater sources except for rain water. The second phase of that program started in 1990 and is still in progress.Within it,all small islands of Kingdom will have freshwater making factories from sea until 2020,all powered from renewable energy sources. With the 60% complete, from originally 16 water tankers built only 7 are in service. The first freshwater generator of the Kingdom built in 1962 in Limnos to provide freshwater to the Limnos Naval Base.Until 1980 all naval bases of Coastal Defense Command of RHN (total 40,includes bays with docking facilities,radars,guard-houses of Navy Seals, etc military facilities) had their own freshwater generators. All these generators except that of Limnos Naval Base are operated by civilians, for providing job to islanders. The water tankers are real, look in Hellenic Navy website for them if you like.
