@Rifleman2: If you meant that, in transit, the barrel should be turned 180 degrees and rest on the trail, I haven't seen any 25-pdr traveling in that position. If by rotation, you mean elevation, yes, you're right!

, do not let the barrel point down. Either one of the cradle or the breech assembly is fixed to the trail. It means that the barrel points up or stays horizontal at the worst. When driving a long train of three vehicles over some rolling terrain, barrel-up is the safest.
