Well, bear in mind I'm a total wiki noob, here's how I did it:

First, create an account.

Second, type the phrase you want to use (For the sake of example, let's call it "Gollyverse") in the search box. You'll probably want to use the phrase "Category:Gollyverse" so you can create different data pages tied together in the same category. Once you search for it, the wiki will probably tell you that it doesn't exist, do you want to create it. Click that link, start typing stuff, job done. There's a bunch of wiki markup - links to other pages within the wiki are done by [[Page Name]] or [[Page Name|Descriptive Text for the reader]]. To make your new AU category page a part of the AU Nations thing, just add "[[Category:AU Nations]]" to the bottom and it'll add itself to the list. Similarly, if it's more than one nation, a whole universe, you can add "[[Category:Alternate Universes]]" and it'll add it to that list instead.

Hope that helps!

Yeah I managed to figure out going on those lines, little backwardish but still. Thanks for the clarification.

The reason the Infobox templates don't work is because none have been properly imported and set up because the Lua programming language hasn't been installed on the server yet. The host is doing this today. Once that gets completed I'll try to get Scribunto and Parser Function (two modules required for Infoboxes to work correctly) installed and then import the templates.

Ahh, I gotcha. Well, the infobox that Rowdy created works just fine, so I'm good with that.

Nice idea. I may try to learn a bit about wiki and add some AU stuff there sooner or later....

Unfortunately it seems the host will not allow us to have Lua installed on this server as it's a shared hosting space. I'm considering moving us to a virtual private server which will allow us to install whatever prerequisite software we need. This might also be a requirement for the main site revamp being built now (stay tuned).

Hi all,

I'm seeing a bit of spam on the wiki, and I've made some mistakes myself ... is there an easy way to flag pages for review and deletion?

(I have no interest in being the arbiter of what should and shouldn't be on the wiki but figure I can help if needed)

Yep... spam as usual... seems we can never escape it. I have been patrolling the recent changes and deleting all the spam. I'm going to make user account creation restricted to admin-approved only very soon.

If you guys would like, I can make everyone who actively uses the wiki an admin. That would mean you could help me to block the spam accounts and delete the spam pages they create. Seems making user account creation limited to admin-approved requires a custom modification that doesn't seem to work on our limited server...
