Decided to take my two drawing of the Eidsvold class, and give them an update... a small one.

- adjusted shadings.
- adjusted when to use a dark color as a brake line instead of black.
- adjusted colors, making them a little softer and just a little more realistic... in how it might look like in the sun.
- highlighting som minor details.

Other than that I changed nothing, except adding canvas over some of the railings, where they might have had at some point, but also in areas where there are canvas railings.

(it have been some time, since I have posted anything from the real world... so kick me in the nuts!)

That looks good! The revised color scheme on the Eidsvold looks much less cartoonish :D
Also the detail is much more subtle than before. Just a question regarding that: are the superstructure railings actually opaque, that the structure doesn't show through at all?
The overall shape and layout look much the same though, so I guess it is no more nor less close to the original than before.

Thank you.

the color: I had some problem with it also, she had an "sort-off" golden look.

well as said in some area the railings are covered in canvas, something that was quit normal in that era... making it a little more comfortable, walking around on the deck.

well it is the original drawing, that I have adjusted. No point to redraw it, when it was more than accurate enough for this scale and size.

Understood. That makes sense if there is solid canvas covering the railings.

Thanks for the kind words.

I have recently got new information on the entire class. Most of them is copyright photo that I can't post, without paying the holder of the collection!

With new information, changes was:

1. smal adjustment on gun barrel color.
2. correcting position and type of lifeboats/barge.
3. flag adjustment and adding new flags.
4. removing doors/hatches, adding new hatches.
5. relocating anchor and adding a new one.
6. adding anchor protection under bow anchor.
7. changing position of dingy/lifeboats/barge-boom.
8. adding canvas in new areas, removing in other areas.
9. Re-arrange all guns, and adding correct type of guns.
10. adjusting position on some portholes.
11. adjusting position on lifeboat-cranes.
12. adjusting and adding small details.
