A small Baltic steamer from Sweden, the SS Vega was built for the Svea company of Sweden. The ship was used during WW2 by the Internatinal Red Cross on Humanitarian aid, first between Marseilles and Lisbon, and later was used to bring food and medical supplies the the German occupied Channel Islands. Six trips were made to the Channel Islands, the last in 1945.
