:? I haven't checked on the template on this already started drawing. Is XXL the right template? :?:
Maybe the bow shading is non-standard but I think it must go under the artistic freedom. It's essential to show how the bow has a hollow shape where most of the bow lies under an overhang. That's not possible to show with lines! 8-)

You should always use the smallest template available.
As for the bow, that has been discussed many, many times and we always end up going back to the standard.
As unfortunate as it is, SB standard just isn't suited to show some of the more complex shapes. Some say it's a failure, I think it's part of the charm.

Well its obviously a WIP but i think the final result will be pretty good.

I would not attempt any fancy shading on the hull. It's not really necessary in SB. The rear hull with the black lines around the hull cut-out probably needs looking at too.

Funny you mentioned it :D I've just adjust the rear where I've corrected the cut-out. But I've still a lot of work to do before the hull is finish and have the right new refitted look. :D

[Edit] Some few more improvements!

[Edit 2] The hull it's getting nearer to be finishing. Now it's the details with and behind the rails beneath the flight deck that's have my focus. So here the latest update! ;)

[Edit 3] Miss still few details beneath the flight deck :? I'm started to "refit" the aft superstructure and funnels, so I think it's time to view the current update :D

[Edit 4] I've removed the attachment because I've placed both version in a post beneath.

Can not wait to see the finished work.
I like the design of auxiliary ships, but so few people make them.
Also like to see more cruise ships or cargo, Alvama anda Vossiej made some, but currently these drawings are forgotten.
Great job, keep it up ...

Thanks :D I'm excited my self. Because the refitting had made so many changes I'm thinking of to make Argus in 1988-2008 configuration too ;)

It's some of a tasking I've given my self. Initially I just want to draw RFA Argus as she looks today. But my original draft from Rifleman was the old configuration from before 2009, so I think it's better to make both versions. Maybe it's to much to work at, but I feel that such a challenge must be tried :D
So here is both. Obvious I haven't made so much on the 1988-2008 version, but I reckon it's easy for you to see a lot of differences already ;)

[Edit 1] I'm nearly finish with the rear end on both versions and now began on the superstructure fore. Obviously I'll take the old version first so I can copy paste and change on the new. There are a lot to do :D

[Edit 2] Now I coming somewhere :D Have some difficulties to identifie (and then draw) what I think must be exhausts pipes to different machinery and engines (extern generators?) which doesn't have anything to do with the main engines? It's the tall pipe tower behind the fore superstructure. But now it's placed and finish at the 1988-2008 version! ;)

[Edit 3] I'm approxemately 85% finish with RFA Argus 1988-2008 and removed the attachment here. There is a new post beneath (or next page) where she is presented :D The new version - as seen here - is still on my slipway. As soon I've gived her a major change, I will replace her too ;)

[Edit 4] I had removed the attachment of Argus 2010 and placed her in a new post reply ;)
