An interesting design; but that overhang over the bow? In the first really heavy sea it would get smashed; which is why you don't see the same on real ships. And with the light gun, how do you propose to replenish it?
Naah, the overhang is the same thickness as a normal aircraft carrier deck overhang.
Woulnd get smashed.
Look at the essex class, less thickness deck and doesnt get smashed. Plus it was mostly wood aswell!(That made the thickness)

The Essex had an atlantic bow, meaning the overhang had been faired into the hull.
This setup isn't, and it'll have the same effect as a belly flop when it hits a heavy sea.

I was a little unsure of it myself. But I'm trying to find a compromise on the solution!

I'm going to point out two things:
  1. Post WW2 all carriers that were refit, or new builds received a hurricane bow.
  2. That's the old Mk-29, you should use the new one found here.

for aircraft: what time era is this for? looking at the radars and weapons, I suppose it is 80s 90s something?
and what would be the role of this ship? fleet defence (as the russians have it) or more like the US idea?

What sort of aircraft does the rest of your AU use? That would help for starters.
