Thats all for black sea. Of this type. Two more - Lermontov and Pushkin - I'm finishing now ))

The last built ship of Ivan Franko type and the first of them was Mikhail Lermontov. Ship was build in 1972 and has been modernised during her construction


Liner worked at the transatlantic line Leningrad - Southgampton - New-York till the end of 70-s and then begun her career as cruise ship


At the beginning of 80-th Lermontov was modernised and became one of the famous soviet cruise ships. Ship sank on 16. February 1986 near Gannet Pointi (New Zealand).

The most famous soviet cruise liner is Aleksandr Pushkin. She was built second in serie and she became the first soviet transatlantic liner.


Aleksandr Pushkin served at the regular route Leningrad - Southgamptom - Montreal. And all the time there were no free tickets to get onboard.


As Lermontov, Pushkin served on regular route till the end of 70-s, and then became a cruise ship


Ship changed her home port from Leningrad to Vladivostok and became one of the famous soviet cruise ships at Far East


Nowadays ship continue her service under the name Marco Polo. New owners totally rebuild her and made more comfortable and modern
