Thanks for comments chaps
Now, something else. Again. Inspired by latest work of the mighty leader of our community Himself ( ) I decided to reveal my modest contribution in "guns" also. A kitbash, of course, what else... with kind permission of Pegasus 206. There are parts from other artists as well (Darth Panda, Gollevainen at least) so, if you want credits, I'll add them. I've to say at this point that I'don't mind sucking as a drawer considering ships but considering guns; I'd like to be better... And what really irritates me, I could do these easier with AutoCAD... But paint... no... :D

Actually since these are based on quite modern Robinson XRC-L rifle, I thought a bit could this kind of gun be materialized in 1969. But because H&K G3 is from 1956 I thought to "go." Basically I took best parts of reliable RK 62: sights and caliber, slightly modified (not too close to Eastern Block).

Adopted by all Scandinavian Union countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland) and manufactured by Madsen&Valmet

Don't know about technical issues of the space station, but drawings are nice. :)

GAH! Please: I urge you; rethink those docking arrangements. Hydrazine RCS pointed directly at the docking ports... KABOOM!

Or, maybe it doesn't use hydrazine, like the Sierra Nevada Corporation Dream Chaser spaceplane, which uses the same docking arrangement.

And that would be better?

http://ston.jsc.nasa.gov/collections/TR ... 216135.pdf

Not safe either.

In this case the explosion comes from an electrical ground path fault.

The point is that in order for the RCS to be effective, it must be both quick start and restart. These systems by their designed nature are subject to spark or flash ignition in a vacuum and are essentially blow torches. You may not want to point a rocket nozzle directly at a powered HABITAT pressure hatch.

Dream Chaser is also associated closely with ULA. Anything that Lock Mart touches these days is engineering suspicious to me.

Elon Musk at least has proven himself a man of his word. He went ahead and did a rework of Falcon 9 and so far no more failures.

After the F-20 and F-35, and the Russian RD 180 rocket deals (what a disaster those three were) United Launch Alliance (Boeing and the aforementioned Lock Mart) just might not deliver what is promised.
