Simple answer? You don't. To me your equipment is just as ugly as the American equivalent. It's all a matter of what colour your glasses are.

To me the Mk26 GMLS are no more ugly or pretty than the Masurca launcher and it comes with the advantage of also being able to fire ASROC.

nuclear propulsion with diesel engine as a backup! What a F...!

Why not go for gas turbines optimised for jetfuel? No need for reserve fuel then. (It's possible to run a diesel on jet fuel, but not for long.)
