I am wondering a bit, are the 130mm AA? because their maximum angle seems not that high, or does the gun itself move belowdecks when high angle?
I do note also that the range is quite extreme, even the large size of the ship this might have resulted in lower specs on armour/arnament, top speed or survivability (lower margins)

Yes the 130's are supposed to be dual purpose. Height wise they are the same as the UK 5.25 so should be able to get to the 75-80 degree elevation.

The ships are unarmoured and do have a lower speed than normal, 60,000shp for 34 knots. The German big destroyers of the time were running 75,000shp for 37/38 knots

Added the Batch 2 drawing to the Jaguar Class Entry so that both ships may be seen together.

Yes thank you. I was trying to find a way to fit the funnels into the area I had without them looking too weird. While looking through my 'cruiser' drawings section I came across the Japanese 'joined' funnels. Exactly what I was after. If you feel you should receive credit for the funnels, let me know.

Very smart design, however, while the trunked funnels are great, for a DL, I believe they should be somewhat slimmed down. Right now their dimensions are, quite frankly grossly exagerrated on a ship about 120 m length. So, while the idea is very attractive, why not experiment with it some further to trim it down some? I think the whole engineering aspect of the design will greatly benefit!
Otherwise a unique and interesting AU, which I've enjoyed following!

I quite agree Bezo, the funnels I have used are meant to handle 90-120,00shp powerplants on Heavy Cruisers. Where the output for the Jaguar class is only 60,000shp.

I will leave these original drawings as is so that viewers may see the difference between the new versions I am now doing and the old ones.

As promised above, the new drawings with rebuilt funnel arrangements. The main difference between the two is the single 20mm around the funnel on batch One ships are replaced by an extra pair of twin 40mm. Other cosmetic details gave the batch Two ships a much different profile.

I cannothelp but think - and feel that slanted masts on the first version would enhance its racy looks....

Could I please ask for some assistance from the Shipbucket Community.

I started working on the rebuild of the Llullaillaco (see page 5) when I realised I had forgotten to copy/paste the original and work on the copy = Dipstick.
