That ground pressure is actually quite high for a combat vehicle; even the Maus had a lower ground pressure than that.

The facts:
this is a converted Oregon-class, fully fed up 11.500 tons
the tracks have 65 meters of ground contact as shown
a Maus tank weights 188 tons
its tracks have ca. 8 meters of grond contact and have 111 cm width
this will be ca. 18 m² of ground contact,
the few test drives showed, this is ok for making 188 tons go.

Can you imagine what width of tracks the 11.500 tons Oregon would need? And what these additional tracks would weight?

You can't go against simple physics (unless you're a bumblebee). So far for what popular science is worth. Anytime. Keep smiling! :D :D :D
