Hello,

More modern RN stuff, sorry! Following on from the 2015 SDSR, the RN is getting eight 'high end' Type 26 ASW frigates and allegedly >5 new 'light' frigates (to save money). It seems reasonable to assume that the new light frigate will probably be a modified existing design, probably not from BAE Systems, as their projects have a habit of becoming very late and expensive. Therefore I had a crack at BMT's 'Venator 110' light frigate design (http://www.bmtdsl.co.uk/bmt-design-port ... r-warship/) which seems a logical choice, and had a go at a T26 from scratch as well.

I don't know if I'm stepping on anyone's toes with an updated T26 so sorry about that, but they released some new images around October which I used ... I haven't seen an update that recently on the T26 so I thought I'd give it a try. I'd be interested to know what you think!

I haven't added the weapons in as I'm not entirely sure what they'll be equipped with, nor am I qualified to draw missiles at all ...

I did't say "waterwings needs improvement", I say "my drawings" could be improved for someone. In fact I took elements from waterwings drawings.

ah, my bad, I misunderstood, sorry. maybe not very nice to say, but it might be good to take some more elements (shading and overall shape seems superior on waterwings drawings, while gunship wins on detailing)

Waterwings,
if you monitor the BMT website (like me  ) every month, you will have noticed that since November 2015, the .PDF presentation of Venator-110 was modified (BMT now called this design "a light-frigate  ")
.... everything related to SDSR 2015 is completely fortuitous
Note that the BMT drawing carry a Mk45 127mm/4 mod...

yes the ventanor is nice, however the light frigate has been awarded to BaE to keep their warship design office ticking over. BTW why has the ventanot got a 40mm bofors they were withdrawn years ago

BAE makes an improved 40 mm gun.
