Post subject: Renovation of a Scottish-Dutch steam enginePosted: December 9th, 2015, 6:54 pm
A unique and the only if its kind, a 6*Expansion Engine from Scottish-Dutch origin of 1890s. Currently being renovated by our group. Next week she will be tested by a torn engine. All works to be completed by Early 2016. She is originally used into a cargo-passenger ship sailed the big rivers.

Pictures show all parts Pre -and Post renovations.

Impressive!

How long had it sat idle before your group got your hands on it? I assume most of the parts are refurbished, too, with occasional machining of things beyond salvage? That's a lot of bronze bearing surface!
