I was wondering, when you put in the New Orleans class, if you would put in Ministro Zenteno and Almirante Barroso as well.

Very strange, I can't find anything about Almirante Barroso. I have not idea what colour she had or other information.

There is a line drawing of Barroso at
http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... =18&t=1864
and some details at
http://www.navypedia.org/ships/brazil/b ... arroso.htm

Peter Brook's book "Warships for Export: Armstrong warships 1867 - 1927" has a page on the ship.
pm me your e-mail address for a scan.
No colour, I'm sorry.
(Incidentally, Brook refers to Elswick 630 as simply "Barroso", not Almirante Barroso" and he is usually right.)

I think she changed names from Almirante Barroso to Barroso during her career, but I'm not sure. *Checks out* You're right, Almirante Barroso was a previous ship, sunk in 1893 during a midshipmen circumnavigation cruise. The Elswick cruiser always was named Barroso.

Hello again

According to

http://www.tynebuiltships.co.uk/A-Ships ... o1897.html

she was - at least part of the time - painted white-buff (with most important Brazilian ships built in Britain, it's probably not too wild a guess that they bought their paint there as well, so RN colours seem likely); later she sports standard grey.

Greetings
GD
