This is very sad news, my thoughts go to his friends and family.

Like many other here, his works (along with Craig Burke who sadly died last year) got me interested in AU ships in the first place and encouraged me to think about doing such ships myself.

I remember his spectacular work with BSG drawings. RIP Canis.

Known Dave for years, and knew of his health issues, he was a great mentor to me, and he always pushed me to excel. I'll miss you, old friend, may the Valkyries carry you to Valhalla!
