This old lady have served along the Norwegian coast line for 52 years. but the special thing with here is that here main diesel engine, are one of those engine with the highs working hour on them in the world... with this type of engine. (there might be another ship in the world with similar number). The numbers are:
- 300000 hour.
That is almost 35 year of constant driving.
- 3 750 000 nautical miles.
That is around nine round trips to the moon.
- and it have used around 114 000 000 liters of oil.
- Every single parts in the engine have o be special made for here, thus service time can be quit long. Parts have to be ordered minimum half a year in advance.
The Engine is no other than an 7 cylinder Burmeister & Wain two-stroke of the type DM742 VT2 BF90, delivering 3325hp, build on license by Akers Mek in 1963.

The unique route she have, is one of the factor for so many service hour. She trawling along the Norwegian coastline on the route "Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen" a trip that take 11 days. in Bergen she is in harbor for only a couple hours, before she start on the rout again. and she have only a couple of week brake (holiday) during the year.
