Another bunch of my AU dribble. Musings re: the A10 Cruiser Tanks and what a DCFI-constructed variant would look like.

[ img ]

Did this initially just to play around, but I've actually warmed to it now and think I may try and write it into the AU story. The lineage starts out as regular A10 Infantry Tanks produced in a collaborative development program with the British, but further developed by the Falklands to create a tank that addressed the types failings with regard to armour, firepower, tracks/suspension and mechanical reliability. I've also created an Armoured Personnel Carrier version as I'm trying to work out how to write in custom-built APC 'kangaroos' into my AU's WW2 timeline (and Army ORBAT) rather than just turret-less tanks as an afterthought.

Thanks again to Darth Panda's supreme efforts which gave me a conveniently awesome drawing to start with.

Edit: updated description and image 03/08/2016

Cheers

Nice updates, I think these are coming along nicely. The T-34 series looks especially good.

Updated the first post in this thread (yet again) showing changes to the M34 and AV-M sheets.

Also, I've thrown together a representation of a DCFI Armored Division as would have been fielded in 1942 for the Gazala battles in Nth Africa. This unit ( as represented in my AU) is the 3rd Falkland Hussars, Part of DCFI's 1st Armoured Division.
