I don't know why this haven't been noticed before, but the way you've drawn the waterline is incorrect.

Good point. Obviously we too bust admiring the ship to notice that!

It's also the case on the Huitfeld and on Bulwark

The black pixel line in the waterline doesen't indicate the end of the anti-corrosion paint or waterline, just shows where the ships waterline should be on standard displacement or average draugth.
Thus I haven't (or no one else before me) required a black pixel line to be drawn at the top of the painjob. Some have drawn it in that way, but mostly it orginates from the bucket's period when underwater hulls were no-no's.

So there isen't anything wrong in the waterline.

Oh, now I've removed them :( Here are HMS Albion and HMS Bulwark without waterlines, and I'll hope Gollevainen can take them here without some size errors as it seems from Photobucket :x
[Edit] The two attachment are deleted. I have made an account at majhost and placed the links on next page ;)

Do they have the same CoA? I know from experience how hard it sometimes can be to keep track of all the varying details when you're drawing sisters...

I reckon CoA stand for Coats of Arms. But off course they haven't the same. If you think of the ensignia on the funnel then it's the combined forces (navy and marines) and it's the same for both ships in their role as LPD's.

well the waterline part is indeed something that could be worth of some controversity. After all, the black pixel line (that doesen't exist in reality) is just relic of the old Bucket without the underwater parts...

Off the photobucket, you just need to adjust your account information so that it doesen't automatically compress the over 1mb files into smaller size. I think there should be a thread about it somewhere in the general discussion forum (or was it in the old forum??)

Minor suggestion: you might want to use Sea King HC.4s, or RAF helicopters. The LPDs aren't really used to carry ASW helicopters.
