If you're an ocean liner buff like I am, one of the true "must-reads" of our hobby is the classic book The Only Way to Cross by John-Maxtone Graham, who later wrote a follow-up titled Liners to the Sun. It is with a heavy heart that I announce Mr. Maxtone-Graham passed away early on the morning of 6 July 2015 at the age of 96. He was an icon in the liner buff community and he will be sorely missed.

My sympathies to his family, and yes, the liners buff community will miss him much.
His son Ian just had his Birthday a few day ago, and he's known for The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live.
