Quality work (plus the C-295 remake) GD! [ img ]

The Dragun looks plausible enough for the PhilAF as a supplement and eventually replacement to the OV-10! :P :lol:

I really like your AU, it seems like a real one, with some budget constraints, setbacks, failures, etc… Not the perfect country that has all on its side that sometimes I see in other AUs… And talking about drawings, you are very, very talented!
I personally love the O4S Dragun, I have a similar COIN aircraft design in my mind (may be someday I will try to "shipbucketing" it) , but yours looks prettier! ;)
But... also I have my little “doubts & complaints” :twisted:
Speaking of the C-250… Adding engines (especially 5000 hp ones) to an existing wing is a MAAAAAAAJOR modification. That spars and other load-carrying structures were not designed for that. You will need to redesign them almost completely… It is not "Plug & Play" :roll: IMHO the RP5M nacelles are huge, don’t understand the need to extend them till the trailing edge, reducing flaps area. Also you probably will need to beef up the landing gear to be capable to deal with the increased weight.
And about A5S Boghdoir, why not making it 4 crewed? The workload of such a plane seems too high to me for a 2 men crew only, and moreover you will have more commonality with E5S… Also inner wings seem to lack flaps to me. Approach speed is critical thing during carrier landings, so high lift devices are much appreciated! :mrgreen:

Well, these are only my opinions. I hope that you take them as constructive, as that's my intention! As I always say, It´s your AU, and you can do whatever you want in it!
Great work! We are waiting for more!

Hello everyone!

@Progress:
Useful advice is appreciated, thanks! About the Boghdoir's flaps, you're perfectly right - if there ever was a reason for it not to have any on the inner wings, I've forgotten about it. Edited. For the ASW version, two crewmembers were a deliberate choice. It's a 1990s design, equipped with much better electronics and displays than the S-3 in the late sixties, enabling the crew to do more at the same time and have less stress about it; a navigator should be redundant, just like the second WSO. About the C-250, the drawing and the text do not correspond - the drawing already has a larger, redesigned wing. Text is edited.

Greetings
GD
