Since I've been quite unexpectedly promoted a notch up, I thought it might be useful to start creating a worklist, since most people actively engaged are doing so. However, I simply don't know how I should go about it.

Now the ships I've got on my mind, laying close to my heart to do are the ACRs HMS Black Prince and Duke of Edinburgh, the Warrior-class ACRs, the Defence-class ACRs (none of which I believe have ever been drawn in SB. Also the Powerful-class protected class, and in general any Victorian and Edwardian age cruiser classes not yet reserved by our illustrious members! Darth Panda can, I believe, vouch for my deep interest and love for the Victorian era ships! I also like to reseve the never-builts during these eras. Not so much the battle-ships, but most certainly the projected ACRs and protected cruisers. I know someone has already made a bunch of light cruisers from post-Edwardian era, so I'm not going to touch any of those.
Also, if no one has reserved the French CA Suffren (1930), I'd sure like to add her too. I just love her very unique superstructure design!

Also, since the USS Pennsylvania was the very last model I ever showed my mum before she passed away some 20 years ago, the Colorado-class ACRs would be very welcome to add.

Does this seem reasonable?

If so, how do I create it so as to show whenever I post???

well the worklists aren't that simple thing I agree. Many people here just pile up ships they like or like to drawn, without no means of beeing capable of completing them during normal human life-span...
Some try to rush drawing most of them, and it usually end up lot worse than good and carefull dedication to each ship at the time...

Alavama is one of the few whom seems to be able to keep up with his worklist and have skills equalent of his pace...I sometimes feel if others just think they have to compete with his productivity beyond the ones own skills.
Instead of promoting to people to make up a claim-grapping worklist, why would people to co-operate to make a communal worklist? sort of thread or set of threads to list up ships that needs to be drawn and allocating those for people who are intrested and ready to drawn them?

As for my own affairs, I have sorta "taken" over all of the Soviet warships, (I did this way before we even had any forum), and sofar I haven't regrected it, as Im finaly starting to close the ultimate situation where everything has been drawn... (only to realise that the past work of my early days needs desperate redrawing in most cases)
Same thing was with Finnish navy, though as small as it is, I've completed it long long time ago, with slowly improving the drawings as my skill evolps.

Some migth question this, but I say, question it with drawings better than I produce, and we have no proplems :) Watching from aside the few non-gollevainen attempts to drawn soviet Warships have been sometimes fustrating face-palm experiences, as it seems that really really really few people actually has knowledge of the soviet naval matters beyond the Global-security and other assorted obsolete cold-war era information.

In future, aside the pr.30 destroyers and few minesweepers, I foresaw my worklist to be almost exclusively redating and improving my older drawings and AU stuff.

I'm well aware of the limits of time and space, for sure, hence why I've been reluctant to create any such lists. Now, I'm not claiming to want to hold on to those suggested ships/-classes for perpetuity, of course not, and I kinda like the idea of working more together in order to create the best possible renditions, since we all are experts on various things. But there are instances were such co-operative efforts simply cannot work, due to clashes of personalities, pride, even enlarged egos, and that's a pity.

But tentatively I very much would like to have a shot at the suggested items, if so permitted.

Aren't we artists??

But as a closure, basicly no one prevents anybody to do anything (in terms of who can draw and what), Though if we want to avoid personal clashes and drama, co-operation and respect is indeed needed and welcomed.

So, Golly, back to my basic question: how would I add it beneath my signature, like so many members have done? - And, yes, I for one always welcome advice. I do, however, abhor abrasiveness and arrogance, but if someone in a polite and informed manner points out errors or omissions, I'm most willing to listen and take impression from that!

Click on User Control Panel in the upper right corner of your screen.
In the new window there should be a link on the left side that says Profile. Click on it and a sub menu should appear. On that menu there's a link called Edit Signature. Click it and the rest should be obvious.
