As per Hoods comment I have recoloured the black to grey on the Andania.

That looks very good Mihoshik.

The only thing I might suggest is that from 1942 onwards the RN was removing the aircraft facilities, moving the boats into that area and using where the boats were on the after superstructure for more AA. That might be drawing number 3?
That's the plan, yes.

They are certainly magnificent looking ships. I like the revised funnels, those tops look better than the originals.

I am still looking forward to the 'Beast' you showed me a preview of.
The Beast comes after I've finished drawing 3 of the Admirals.

Pegasus Class Anti-Aircraft Cruiser.

The Pegasus type introduced the twin 4.7" turret with Dual Purpose capabilities to the RN cruiser force. The lightweight turret and high rate of fire was not only useful against aircraft but also against enemy destroyers and other light craft. The rest of the armament was the standard 2pd pom pom with three quad mountings being fitted, then the new Oerlikon 20mm cannons in twin and single mountings were placed wherever space could be made for them, 24 barrels being fitted. The obligatory two sets of triple 21" torpedoes were fitted but these were the first things removed when topweight needed to be lost to fit the new weaponry that became available throughout the war.

The Cunard line had done well out of the Admiralty with subsidies for building ships that could be requisitioned for various uses in time of war. The Laconia type passenger liners were a case in point. A quick and dirty conversion could turn the ships into Armed Merchant Cruisers while plans were made for further uses of the ships.

As an AMC the Laconia was armed with eight single 6" controlled by a rangefinder on top of the bridge. The two 4.7" AA guns were local control and because of the size of the Laconia could have the necessary large crew required for sustained firing. Five single 20mm completed the armament.

The Admiral class underwent only one major revision in wartime. Aviation facilities were stripped and the available space repurposed, with the deck space turned into a boat deck. This freed space for an additional two octuple 2 pdr. AA cannons. Total AA armament was now 12 x 2 4.5 inch cannons, 8 octuple and one quadruple 2 pdr. mounts, and 42 single 20 mm canons, with all but the single 20s being radar assisted.
Near the end of the war the single 20s would be replaced by single 2 pdr. cannons, as the smaller cannon had proved virtually worthless against Kamikaze attacks.

I'm going to step in here, Krakatoa. On your Laconia (a shame to see her armed, but, that's just my opinion...) you need to substantially reduce the peacetime lifeboat allowance and, instead, substitute them with Carley floats, inflatables, life preservers etc. Right now what you've got is a hell-of-an attractive perishable target, with a lot of stuff that will easily catch and sustain fire!
Also, I'd add windbreakers around the bridge, consider expanding her W/T aerials and cover up at least some of the glazed areas and portholes.
The aft beam Promenade-deck 6"-guns also appear to have a woefully weak structural support underneath them, and absolutely no secure ammo supply access, that won't be exposed to blast, debris and shell impact.

Take-2 on the Laconia as per Bezo's comments.

Ok, getting there. The extra hull plating you've provided as cover/support for that aft gun looks sort of mis-matched. There's a door leading nowhere and cut off at the bottom. You cannot tell whether the plating is straight or has bends in it. That's what you get for a very hasty job. Take your time, Krakatoa. I'm in no hurry! Also it'd look far more realistic if 1) you'd increase the number of Carley floats and 2) turned some of them in an upright position along the hull side, and 3) had more of those plus collapsibles stacked on the various deck levels; at least on the large open Prom-deck! Finally paint the dark blue on the life boats over! And what about the wind baffles/deflectors on the bridge wings? Lastly I'd suggest adding an RDF-antenna somewhere near the bridge/ radio room.

I join Ari's remarks about arming a merchant ship, but I would like to add some more for making it a better real looking conversion (all to be taken as pure advice, naturally, as it reflects my ideas only)
Firstly remove the Cunard flag and Red Ensign, and replace the later with the White Ensign, as all comissioned shps in the RN do.
Second is to move the rear most gun slightly back and inform all that the ship is armed with 7 guns only (the rear most is on the centre line), and May I suggest you place a 4.7" AA gun on the aft superstructure where you have the 20 mm gun.
Paint all masts and derriks a uniform RN grey (the ship is now part of the Grey Funnel Line), as well as the life boats and gangway
Plate all portholes of the two lower tiers (a simple re colouring is all it takes)
Remove the wooden island on the bridge and replace it with a steel one, more suited for the gunnery range finder.

Any reason for not going for eight six-inch guns and two three-inch high-angle guns as OTL ? does anybody have a pic of her in war service ?
