Dresden 152/II (also known as Baade 152, after its designer Brunolf Baade)

Germany's first jet airliner developed and built by the East German VEB Flugzeugwerke Dresden.
First flown in 1958, the project and all aeronautical industry activities of the GDR were stopped in 1961.



The aircraft shown are to following:

- Ju 152 in service with Deutsche Hanseflug (my fictional airline) as main user

The Westland submission W.37 to naval fighter requirement N.114T of 1951. It and Blackburn's B.89 were regarded as jointly successful, with the B.89 slightly ahead on technical grounds but uncertainty over their ability to deliver. By the end of 1951 the Admiralty had decided that since none of the major fighter designers had won, they'd not proceed with the aircraft. After much ado, and the abortive de Havilland DH.116 Super Venom programme, the less-capable Sea Vixen was accepted. Blackburn's B.89 was the direct ancestor of the Buccaneer.

The name Pirate was originally for the Sea Vixen to match the Buccaneer, which entered service at around the same time.

quite nice! although I have a few small comments:
- I personally prefer the standard blue cockpit window, more in line with the shipbucket drawings we have. it makes no sense to me to draw aircraft windows another shade of blue then the ship windows.
-in front of the guns there seems to be some droop in the nose, which IIRC is not there in reality. this might just be a result of the darker pixels representing the guns falling together with the drop in the pixel line, so a bit of juggling with that might solve that nicely.
- a landing gear version and a folded wing version is required
- I personally would make the moving parts of the wings and tail outlined in darker grey, if not black, to show they are moving parts and not panel lines.
- I am not certain about the lack of black outline of the canopy.
- some markings and lettering seems to be missing on the dutch navy version

I'm sorry Oberon_706 if I have blown up your work on the Be-12. Months ago I needed the Be-12 for the Volksmarine of my AU, so I just draw her without adding her to the bucket nor my AU.
But you're right, maybe we should coordinate things.
Right now I'm planing to do the He 120, the We 271 and the Ju 52 including its floating version.
As I'm just goeing to start, please tell me if you have them on your worklist.

haha relax it's fine. i'd barely started working on it anyway. Go ahead and draw the models you've mentioned, as I've been focusing on Allied and Soviet types - and particularly flying boats as opposed to floatplanes/seaplanes. Do you want to do the Bv222 and 238? or will I do those?
