Beside the dozen or so V&W class destroyers that went through the WAIR conversion, one Shakespeare class was also given the WAIR conversion.

Being bigger than the V&W's the Wallace had room to fit a quad 2pd mounting.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Frankly, it is not very detailed at present. If someone has the Friedman RN Destroyer book with a decent picture of Wallace (WAIR) or a line drawing that they can PM me a scan of, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks Mike, I can only see 2 of the 5 photos.

Is it possible to get them a bit bigger? When I enlarge those it just goes to a blur. (Same problem with the ones I found on the internet.)

I have made some changes as per Mikes photos and indicators. I am happy to make alterations if I can see clearly what is supposed to be there. The photos are of 1942, so some changes will have been made from the original 1939 layout.

I will not do the 42 camouflage as that is not the version I am trying to do. This is supposed to be Wallace as first completed with the WAIR conversion 1939. I will try the 1942 camo version later once I have got this one 'right'.

This is the only pic I have found with the colour scheme for the 42 camo. Does anyone have anything better?

Excellent work Krakatoa.

The director should be the basic HACS.
Modifications probably varied between ships and as the war progressed even more changes would have been added. So its probably hard to compare all of these.

Changed to HACS as per Hoods comment.
