Well, here is my first FD aircraft…
The Handley Page H.P.124 was a Dart Herald’s military variant with a new aft fuselage with loading ramp. Designed to replace the RAF’s Valettas, it competed with an Avro 748 derivate. The H.P. 124 was at first the preferred choice, but as Handley Page refused to merge with other manufacturer according to government industrial policies, they withdrew support and finally choose Avro’s model, later named Andover… Personally, I see the H.P. 124 a very promising aircraft, better designed for STOL tactical missions than the Andover, and maybe a serious contender to the F.27 for many airforces…

Now I think that it would have been smarter to start with the standard Dart Herald, and then go for the H.P.124… cause there are much fewer drawings/pictures of the latter, but it was too late to retreat, and I’m personally far more interested on the H.P. 124 than the commercial Dart Herald, so this is the best I can do, at least it can be a starting point for someone…
Some areas (especially skin overlaps aft of the pax door) are pure speculative, as I said before all the physical references I had of it were a couple of really small 3 views and b/w photos of a model… And there were differences even between them, so this drawing is an “average” of what it might looks like…
