Very nice! Sadly, the ALUSHTA was severely damaged by fire during maintenance in Arkhangelsk on 9/2/'10. The wreck was still seen in late 2011, but she has probably been scrapped by now:

With the approval of the prior two artists, I have taken the time to do some color correction on SS United States. As well, using the hull curves I have posted before, I've improved the hull shading to more accurately depict the hull:

One question. Should there be any shading on the funnels?

PS: just noticed on second viewing - should the wires going down the aft funnel go all the way down to the deck?

Answer 1: No, I don't think so. The funnels, other than at the tops, are sufficiently close to vertical that they do not get shaded. I forgot to include the proper shading for the fins on the funnels (I had placed them in a different layer in my working file), but they are back on now.

Answer 2: Yes, and I am correcting that now. In my defense, they end in mid-air on the current main site version as well.

I think he means fore and aft shading, so rounding the funnels. which depends on the shape of the funnels, I thought they were round enough for that maybe?

Looks good Timothy, a fitting work for the old lady.
As for the wires on the aft funnel, it is my mistake, I completely forgot make them all the way.
