I will be adding more back stories to each of the different ship classes as and when I can. I try to think of new reasons and ideas to back up why I drew whatever it is I have drawn.
There are at least 3 or 4 more cruiser classes to be added. A couple more CV types. Lots more destroyers, escorts and minor vessels like MTB's and MGB's still to come. Gives me something to do on the cold winter days.
Very nice additions.
I like the Town with 5x2 4in and the overall Arethusa style. The Unicorn is a nice looking carrier too. I'm interested on why you went for single rather than twin 4in?

Howdy Hood,
The original thought for the CVL's were as 'service' carriers to the main fleet carriers (much as the original Unicorn). So the armament did not need to be as strong as the fleet carriers. Hence single 4" instead of twins, and quad 2 pounder instead of the octuples fitted to the fleet carriers. Also there were a lot of single 4" AA around that just needed to be fitted with a shield that would suit a ship supposedly designed for secondary duties. (All those singles being removed from the BB's and cruisers and upgraded to twins).
