One question though: I've seen pictures on the net - and on the painting guide of Trumpeter's 1:700 model of Tirpitz - that show her with some splinters of her camouflage in green rather than gray. Looked rather cool, actually. Did they make them up? (Wouldn't be surprised...)

I have actually found differing references regarding the colours, so I can't really tell with certainty which would be correct.
Though it seems like the port side of the '43 splinter pattern included a 4th grey-greenish colour (see: http://bismarck-class.dk/tirpitz/paint_ ... rt_big.gif ).
I might be tempted to add the port sides to the camoed variants someday.
