It was an idea for a aircraft for a AH story where some RN from the 1982 have travelled back to 1939 http://alternatehistory.com/discussion/ ... p?t=325640, they have Tynes, Olympus, and a spare Pegasus to work from to retro engineer from.

It's looking weird but somehow feasible, doesn't it?

BTW Coccodrillo means, you guess it, Crocodile.

Nice, though it would look even more feasible had You make it look like it's having a metal bottom rear fuselage (jet exhausts!) and generally planes with that engine arrangement had engines positioned with exhaust (and whole engine) actually pointing slightly downwards (towards rear).

That what's called design flaws! ;) Corrections are left for some next versions...

Indeed... if you look closely you'll notice that they are positioned underwings and one in the front.

Apart from eswube's noted flaws (all early jet fighters like this were flawed) this looks a quite plausible design and something different from the Re.2007 semi-fictional jet that always gets wheeled out!
