Thanks to eswubes quick review on this one i present you this floatplane fighter.
The IMAM Ro.44 was a seaplane fighter version of the IMAM Ro.43 (posted just in the previous page). First flew in 1936 and it was a failure for a seaplane fighter because it suffered from the design failures inherited from the Ro.43 although it was slightly more maneuverable.
It was fast enough to intercept the Fairey Swordfish and the Fairey Seafox but due to it's poor performance only 35 out of 51 were produced. They were asigned to a secondary front like the Aegean sea and it was soon retired from active service.
