Nice job JSB and Wartime! Interesting and well-thought out designs.

Hi ;) , i'm join with Surabaya Class : 960 tons ASW Corvette

Base on PFMM Mk.16 class, Tacoma Boat Building Co, USA, PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Shipyard bought ship plan and built 4 anti submarine corvettes for Indonesian navy. russian sonar systems were more expensive, so doesn't have surface-to-surface missile in all ASW version :P . (i'm used Gollevainen Sonar)

Length: 76.82 m (252 ft 0 in)
Beam: 9.55 m (31 ft 4 in)
Draft: 2.44 m (8 ft 0 in) exclude sonar dome
Installed power: 16,000 bhp (12,000 kW)
Propulsion: 2× MTU 20V1163 TB83 diesel engines, 2× shafts
Speed: 26 knots (48 km/h; 30 mph)
Range: 3,000 nmi (5,600 km) (at 16 kn (30 km/h; 18 mph))
Complement: 15 officers, 70 enlisted

Sensors and processing systems:

1xThales ZW06 surface search and navigation radar (plan to replace by MW08 air/surface search radar in the future)
2xDecca 1226 navigation radar
1×Selex RTN-20X fire control radar for 57mm gun
1×Kolonka optical fire control system for 40mm gun (modify)
1xMVU-226-1 Torpedo fire control system
1xMGK-335M Argun/Bull Nose hull mounted MF Sonar
Thales SEWACO CMS
Elettronica Newton Beta ESM/ECM system ( 2xELT 828 antennas inside spherical dome)

Armament:
1×Bofors 57 mm/70 Mk1 naval gun
1xBofors 40 mm/70 Bofors anti-aircraft gun
2×Oerlikon 20 mm cannon gun
2×SA-N-5 surface to air missiles

You don't have to credit me for a sonar bulb :D
Anyways, nice to see a plausible design for a change

Having looked at my IDDG I thought that it would be better as a escort rather than try to fit in missiles strike role as well.

So here is a redone version with Sea Kings for ASW.

I think I would also use a fully steam plant (ie 2xLeander) as India has more experience building them.
The ASW rocket behind the funnel may also get dropped as I have ASW TTs ?

I am in doubt....... you have a lot of systems on a county hull, does it all fit?

No, I don't think it would fit. Too much topweight. when you consider the agonising the DNC had over what to fit and leave off these ships I doubt this would work without adding a couple of feet of beam. The RBUs probably need a better position so they have some forward arcs at least.

I had tried an Indian County, but with the gas turbines from the Pr.61, 1x SA-N-1 and 1x 4.5in Mk VI and helicopters aft. I felt it wouldn't really work (my design is similar to JSBs above but without the forward SAM and probably a smaller hangar aft for Alouettes). The Sea Slug magazine could be used for extra accommodation etc. but the internal changes would be too great and the late 70s build date would seem to be out - why would Britain sell designs 20 years old? So I've ditched that idea and am know planning a Yugoslav frigate. Maybe a Leander or Vosper based design or maybe a clean sheet design.

Yes it probably is to much but I was looking at the Kresta I class cruiser (6000t) for the County (6200t).
The Kresta I has,
2 SAMs
2 twin SS-N-3 Shaddock anti ship missiles
2 twin 57-mm/70-cal AK-725 anti-aircraft guns
2 quintuple 533mm torpedo tubes
1 Helicopter

So I swapped the Shaddocks for a twin 4.5' and a second hangar, the 4x57mm for 8x30mm admittedly I should probably drop the ASW rockets but is it that much over weight ?

Admittedly from a county class direction I'm swapping,
1 x Sea Slug
2 x 4.5' twin
2 x Sea Cat
1 x small hangar

So swap a 4.5' for a SAM and Sea Slug for a SAM and a larger hanger, then Sea Cat for 30mm :? :?:

One of the problems is the nature of the two SAM systems. The SeaSlug installation was massively long, but it did have the advantage of only taking up one deck. SA-N-1 on the other hand is loaded vertically and the missile is 6m long so you'll need two-three decks below the launcher.
