-30 degrees sounds so much better. I hate any temperatures over 10 degrees c. Summer here in Norway is so hat and excrutiating, and we have among the coldest summers of any countries in Europe. Every morning I wake up and its 14 degrees inside my room. Sometimes its so cold my fingers get stiff and I cant feel my fingers, I just love it like that. Maybe I should move to Alaska, or Siberia.

Alaska is quit hot at the moment!

Karl94 remember the winter last year with the extreme cold temperature. I find -1 to -5 degrees to hot for wintertime. I need temperature bellow -15 to start fell comfortable during winter!

I presume neither of you guys own a car

Nope. I live on an island, so no need.

I lived in Bergen before, all you had to do was going down to the bus stopp, there was always a new buss every 5. minutes to every 30 minutes. But Now I am living far from anything, so I need do get that licens soon... just have to finish off my apprentice (should be finish with my apprentice before this summer, all I have left is one project and then the big test!)


a car license her in Norway is expensive:

it can be from 15000,- NOK (1700 EUR, 2000 USD, 1300 GBP)
up to 25000,- NOK or more (2830 EUR, 3300 USD, 2200 GBP)

do that on a apprentice salary (approx: 10000-15000, minus apartment rent, mobile bill, power bill, food, entertainment, etc.)

bloody hell, thats more than my Car, HGV 2 and 1 Cost here in the UK all Combined....... what the hell do you lot have to do........

we on the other hand in the UK are still waiting for the supposed bad weather the BBC keeps threatening us with but seems to only be hitting the scots.....

Yes I wish it was snowing but we are mostly getting rain and its all melting, wet and windy what a surprise in scotland

Its annoying paying for DL, I have spent over 2000 GBP Car, D1, +E etc. (well actually work has paid but still )

Well those prices appears to be same as here in Finland, with the exception that our salaries aren't near as good as in norway in average (I have) ...or atleast thats what we've always told

But trust me, the moment you get your own car and face your first winter, all that childhood's magical gloss over white snow and coldness dissapear quite fast....taken that you haven't been in a conscription during winter and skied with finnish army skis which also does wonders to one's appreciation of winter

Trust me Shippy and JSB, Lancashire and Cumbria has plenty of wind and rain. No snow however since Wednesday, but its been gales here solidly since last Thursday.
But saying that its no worse than any other winter or season. I thought moving the BBC to Salford would have toughened them up a bit, obviously not.
