Would It not be better to mix the missiles up to stop you losing all of them in one hit ? But then maybe you should just build more smaller DDGs to do the same ?

Why does the USN not have a few 30kt CGs rather than lots of >10kt DDGs ? I think because CVs are the main force and the rest is just escorts ?

I would just go with a beefed up (not cost limits FFBNW :( ) Darning (maybe the WC) and build lots of them.

So. I've been tooling with the design of the hood class for abit. I've replaced the 155 with an ags-lite type weapon in the stealth housing the british tend to use (I can always just put on the american version if that'd be more likely), added a second one further forward, I've mixed the armaments present in the vls, inserted polar in, and I've fiddled with the size, but for a nuke powered cruiser with all the facilities it carries, I'm not sure I want to shrink it. Question time, Blackbuck mentioned a sort of "super-aegis" should be used, long range and great against swarms. Are there any like that currently existing, and if not, how might I want to make it look?
Looking forward to your comments
