It wouldn't really be a true super puma at that time in the modern sense of them as it would still feature the SA330 style fuselage. I see no reason why you couldn't have them or for that matter just upgrade SA330s at the time to SA/AS332 standard and cite the associated weight gain and what not as reasons for the upgrade.

RHN introduced the type in Hellenic Armes Forces, coast guard follows. Army had the Cougar ( from 1992) and Air Force the EC-725. Air Force received Cougar in 1998 and passed them slowly to Army, as they where replaced gradually with Caracal. RHN airframes were upgraded in late 1990's and again a second rebuilt/upgrate program is on progress.

Earlier in 1970's Hellenic Petroleum ordered 6 SA-330 ( later upgrated them and received some more airframes). These were civilian variants, not military.

The " AS332F" was built on "C" aiframe from 1983 with 15.53m fuselage and led to first generation Cougar in 1990. Chile has this type (Naval Cougar) from 1988. In my scenario. RHN is one of the first customer of Navalised Super Puma (which equipped with AM-39 in 1988-89).

Hellenic Fire Brigade AU uses eight AS332L1 for SAR misions on land and mountains or with underneath bucket for fighting widfires.

Something completely different, but I am thinking it snce I saw the sole remaining of about 50 A27 tanks real Hellas received in 1946. This is located in the small Tank Museum of Hellenic Army, inside the Tank Training Division Camp, near Athens. I was there for some days during my military duty.

Could Hellas take more of Cromwell/Comet family (250-300 total), use them until mid to late 1950's- replaced with M47/M48- and create some specialized variants on them? We had for instance M32 and M74 (both based on Sherman) even though Hellenic Army does not seem to receive Sherman. I have found some sources from South Africa for Comets, I have also in mind an SPG 25-pdr based on Cromwell hull. Could this tank modified with diesel power and the 90mm GIAT/ Cockeril gun? Not sure however if the GIAT 90mm is superior than the 17-pdr of Comet.
Fast mine laying tanks could be also built on Cromwell/Comet, even fire tanks. Of course, all derivatives would be modified to diesel power.

Also I consider of using a combination of modified Humber Pig (with turret for one Browning M2) and Alvis Saladin for Hellenic Army reconnaissance units. Both replaced by Tiger variants in late 1980's to mid 1990's. The Saladin was replaced by the Tiger 8X8/105, which has the turret of french AMX-10RC.

Re: Cromwell/Comet - of course Hellenic Army could take more of them, and at least some of these modifications are completely plausible, though for example I'm not sure about installing diesels (both in regard to engineering issues and cost-effectiveness on that particular design) though.

The RR Meteor could be retained.

Also the manufacturing license of 77mm rounds was attained, A27 hulls used for specialised variants, A34 where transfered to Cyprus. Remained in service for many years and replaced with T-80 as early as possible Cypriots could attained them. Hellenic Forces in Cyprus have Leopard 1A5M2.

The 90mm cannon I referred to is the GIAT F1, as used in AMX-13. Hellenic Army received US M47/ M48 in lates 1950's and Cromvell passed to Cyprus. Some specialised variants remain in service until mid 1970's.

Could the 77mm HV cannon of Comet damage a M47 or a M48A1?

That, first of all, depends on the distance and the thickness of an armor at the point of hit. Side and rear armor could likely be penetrated, but with front armor it's less obvious (but, honestly, I have no idea).

Something for Air Force now.

Since RHAF AU did operate F-104, I thought of joining in the program of F-104S and assembly 60-70 airframes. About half would be optimized for Aspide missiles, rest for strike. Also, RHN Aviation would use F-104G with Kormoran missiles, until replaced with Mirage F1/AM-39. First airframes would be attained via MAP program. Airframes would be attained also from Netherlands, mostly RF-104G with their full reconnaissance equipment (offset from S-class frigates manufacturing program). Total airframes number up to 200, Ex-German,Spanish,Dutch and the F-104S(HL). About half were in service, rest for spares. Timeline of use goes form 1964-2004 (last RHAF Starfighters retired some months before Aeronautica Militare examples).

Adding that Navy Aviation withdrawn the Starfighter in 1998, these were the last -G in service. The -S soldiered on until 2004. Some of RHAF airframes were wired for Maverick and ASM-24 TV guided missiles, other for laser guided weapons. Durandal bombs and a indigenous airfield destruction weapon with bomblets, BL-755 and Mk20 Rockeye ( plus a hellenic development of Mk20) were also used.
