thats much betteri wonder would the launch tubes drop into that compartment behind the aft reactor.

probably, but it would end up with that all those compartments have to be moved somewhere else, so I think they might have to enlarge parts of the superstructure on deck level for compensating for it.

anybody fancy drawing a below deck part of a polaris missile silo.....LOL

i think i need to find out whet dimension these take up i would assume they would be similar to those fitted to the Lafeyette or the UK's Resolutions......

if you find good references, and you don't want to draw it, kick it to me and I'll do a try

while I was searching for an Polaris system, this one come up. that give me the idea that the Polaris system might have been Horizontally loaded, then lift up in launch position.
