Hello everyone!
First of all: Bezo, I sincerely hope your kid will soon be better.
I have about a dozen pics and drawings of Gromoboy and Rossiya (tsushima.su being my main source for pics - I just love that website) and am prepared to do them as-built, during the 1904/5 war and after their major refit during WWI. I have nothing about any special equipment for balloons, though, and I have not yet dug really deep for info.
And I have so many other projects that they are coming out of my ears already. I'd be glad if I could do Gromoboy and Rossiya, but it would take some time to get started. If anyone is faster, no problem at all. But if I think I can do better, I might give them a shot anyway.
As for the other russian ships: anyone can step in. I have Slava in her WWI guise on my very long-term like-to-do list, but so far none of the others. There are pitifully few ships of the Czar's navy in the bucket, so draw awa, everyone.
Personally, GD, having experienced your wonderfully amazing drawings, and the fact that we had a very agreeable colab with the French Treaty cruisers, and since I did, kinda put a dibs on these vessels, I'd prefer, nay I insistyou do them! I hope no one else will think badly about that. Only three vessels - surely we can all agree that if anyone is the person to do them, it's GD?
Also, I'm prepared to share with you, GD my research folder on these vessels, plus info about Rossiya's epochal 'aircraft carrier' venture during the famous third and fourth cruises of the squadron. Yes, that's another Russian 'First' - the invention (sort of) of the carrier!
