A reference drawing of Ricelieu's measure 32 scheme, as well as Redhorse's drawing both had a gradient pattern as well as did a photo of Richelieu from the time period. The photo also had smudging incorporated. The SB scale did not lend itself well to the smudging so I removed it and retained the gradient.

can you show the reference? I could take a look. Generally Gradient is no-no in SB, mostly becouse its so againgst the ideas of the entire style, but also, becouse it doesent look that good on SB anyways.
If Im to allow something gradient to be uploaded, the case needs to be really good exception

Yea, after looking at them, I tend to agree, you cant reproduce them in traditional SB way, since SB is all about consistent clean sheets of paint :)

so keep up with good work and don't mind this little hazzle at all ;)

A very beautiful set of drawings David, but I think that on the Richelieu, after her New York refit there is a radar on the aft mast (An American SA or AC radar if I'm not mistaken)

Here is Richelieu in 1945 with the British Admiralty paint scheme and updated survalance suite.
