I disagree, the stern doesn't fit a vessel of that era, it's too old fashioned.

Although counter sterns were seen as outdated in the 1930's, the practice continued, by an American shipping line even after WW2, that company being American Export Lines who designed counter sterned ships post war. These ships were the SS Independence and SS Constitution.

I don't know enough about liners to comment on the design, but I think someone should draw her as a legitimate never were. 8-)

The original design was basically an updated Aquitania. Since design work started in the 1920's its not that unusual a design.

...and Novice, the Rex and QM were in reality contemporary; in fact the former's design was of a later date compared to the later!
