In 2006 Ayutthaya Navy start Multipurpose Landing Platform Dock Project (built at local shipyard),Somchai Shipyard and Jusmin Shipyard present 2 versions of 5,500 tons LPD base on HC500PC ship plan.
LPD500 Class have 2 helicopter landing spots and 2 helicopter parking spots, Fitted for 15 AAVs ,2 LCMs and 220 peoples with military equipment. but not has helicopter hangar because the main lift not support

Ayutthaya Navy very intersted LPD500H Class but they wanted the bigger ships(8,000 tons), In 2008 Somchai Shipyard and Jusmin Shipyard modify Ayutthaya Lozin Class (base on Endurance-class from ST Marine singapore license) to the Multipurpose Landing Platform Dock Ship Project and final deal in 2010, HC500PC Class (and family) was fail again in Ayutthaya Navy.
