In 1955 the Jean Bart was finally completed and officially commissioned, Jean Bart as completed1955:

Thank you Colombamike allof your help, and for sending me the correct color scheme. I guess there will be--at least--one more revision with the new color scheme.

Here is the general 1955 appearance of Jean Bart. I will have to do a major re-colorization of the ship.

In 1957, it was proposed to refit Jean Bart’s anti-aircraft and radar suites. The dual 100mm guns were to be replaced with the newer 1953, single barrel mounts with an upgrade in GFCDs. The 125mm would utilize the DRBC-31B, the 100mms the DRBC-32A and the 57mms would be directed by the DRBC-31A. The tubular masts were also to be converted into tripods to support the heavier DRBV-20C, DRBV-23C, DRBV-31 and DFBI-10B, radar antennae.

Many thanks go out to Colombamike :D

Wonderful series David. Well done to you both.

Just looking at the helicopter, would there be a designated landing area on the stern rather than just the woodwork. ie. circles with H's ?
