Also it has the rather strange credentials of its trainer versions powered by license built british engines were faster than the frontline models which were all American powered by alinson engines....
I always liked the German yellow/green schemes - I may have to do the Stirling & Lancaster in FD.
with regards to the Twin-Mustang -- distance from windscreen to spinner is the same as the P-51 but the nose panel shapes differ (flatter top line). Nose panel-lines differ between the B, C/D, E, F/G & H versions (DP has drawn lines for the F-82 C/D version very well). The wing is of broader chord than the P-51 so cockpit sits closer to the leading-edge & also a fraction higher. The fin shapes & sizes also differ from the P-51 on later F-82s.
