Thanks ya'll! Ok, if MihoshiK who updated the Batch3 will permit me, I'll bring those up to the latest standards, including the recent rebuilding of the Cumberland. As for the Type21, yes, now that's a gorgeous little frigate, ain't she? Yes, I would like, if no one objects, try and update it as well. - And I'm going to continue to post the individual ships in the Batch 2, since they are seriously my favorites! As for the Romanian versions, I think it'd be better if I post them within Alvama's Romanian thread, so as to keep those collected together. As for the Brazilian ones, I might as well create a new thread. And thanks Bombhead for your amazing looking Sea King! I hope you didn't mind me re coloring it and 'converting' it to an RN instead of RM chopper?
Hell yeah, go ahead. The quality of work being displayed here is well above mine, I've no problem with this at all.

Oh gosh...well, then the credit fairly goes to Paul541. - But, you Bombhead still get my thanks for doing he Fort Austin at about the same time, where my eyes caught it!

Anyhows...here's the last of the sextuplet (yes, I know I'm not posting them in chronological order...but both Brave and Beaver will follow!)

HMS Coventry, named after the hapless Type42 destroyer so ignominously sunk by the Argentinians on May 25, 1982.

Here she is shown when deployed to the Persian Gulf during one of her last cruises, in ca. 1997/98.

Thanks MihoshiK, that's truly generous of you! And I promise to treat it with the respect it deserves. Besides, your work is so superior anyhow that it's hard to compete with that. But I sure gratefully acknowledge your very kind compliments! :)

One small problem. The guard rail under the radar on the foremast is filled in with grey.

That's no problem. What I've tried to emulate is a canvas tarp wrapped around it; a feature which I've noticed consistently on this ships. I guess it adds to extra comfort for the maintainence guys working on keeping the navigation radar dry! ;) Now, the wind-factor would press the guardrails on the canvas, creating the creases and 'buckling' that I've tried to represent.

LOL..well, while that's a possibility...it's really grey in RL, so would that be a good solution? But, hey, I'm all for trying if this ain't the neatest solution... ;)
