On August 25, 1945 the battleship Jean Bart left Casablanca on her return trip to France and arrived at Cherbourg on August 29. She is seen here with all of her armament removed; her main battery was removed earlier and sent to the US to replace Richelieu’s ruined guns. Her decks are a clutter with Crates, boats and machinery.

Our next stop will be Jean Bart in 1948-1950.
