@ Imperialist:

Yup thats the reference. Sure sucks

The second drawing from Brest appears, at a first glance, to be a plan--not an actual drawing--for the 1955 complete Jean Bart.

Thanks ;)

David, your 08 november 1942 version look good
(I have only one doubt, you are sure about the aft-propeller missing (not yet installed by 1942) ???)

NEXT:
Forget Jean-Bart as a pure carrier (wrong design)

Aim the two 1943 versions with US weapons

I have no Conclusive proof, :? but did they have the capability to install the screws without a drydock? ;)

Very dubious, during july 1940-november 1942 the French Vichy-government manned ships sufferred growing shortage (especially in north-africa). The situation worsening by mid-1941 (fuel lacking).

You are sure that Jean-Bart escaped France with only 2 propellers ?
(Jean-Bart escaped France with only its half-power machinery, but half-power machinery is not necessarily the half propeller complement  )

According to Wiki:

"Propulsion
The four Parsons turbine sets, and the six Indret Sural[c] boilers were installed, but only the boilers of the after boiler room, and the turbines of the after engine room were in working order. Only two propellers have been fitted, on the outer shafts, on 6–7 June."

I'll continue looking.

In 1943 the Allies comtemplated raising Jean Bart and towing her to New York where they hoped to complete her. The drawing below is of Jean Bart completed as an Anti-Aircraft battleship armed with the following
64 40mm Bofors AA-guns in quad mounts
30 5”/38s in dual mounts
4-15” guns in the “A” Turret—the “B” Turret removed.

This is the Plan 1 of 2.

PS

This is still a WIP

Does any one have an overhead view of a Mk-57 gun director? :D

Zoinks! Any plane would've been mincemeat attacking that!
